Fit 2 B Kids offers a multisport training event for youth ages 7-12 called a Splash & Dash! Young athletes of any skill level learn or practice how to participate in a swim-run-race event and have an opportunity to cross a finish line and earn a medal!
Coaches introduce young athletes to racing in an atmosphere of fun and learning.
Athlete will:
Athletes can participate to enjoy the training and meet new friends, or to enjoy the competition. Most importantly, we are developing an atmosphere of camaraderie while encouraging kids to dig deep, develop skills of athleticism, perseverance and determination so they can cross any finish line with confidence!
Note: athletes will need to bring the following to an event:
- bathing suit (girls will sometimes put shorts on over the bathing suit post swim)
- towel
- goggles
- running shoes
- post event clothing

At Fit 2 B Kids, we believe young athletes should develop speed in shorter distances before developing endurance. Why? The window for developing speed is only open at younger ages, but athletes have a lifetime to develop endurance. We follow USA Triathlon's guidelines for age-appropriate race development and encourage young athletes to be the best they can be at the distance they race.
Ages 7-8: swim 50-100m (pool), run 1k
Ages 10: swim 100m (pool), run 1k
Ages 11-12: swim 200m (pool), run 2k
